SIRAP Welcomes an Engineering Undergraduate Student to its Team
The Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP) Project Support Team (PST) has recently welcomed an engineering undergraduate student. SIRAP is supported by the World Bank and is being implemented through the Ministry of Communication and Aviation, and the Ministry of Infrastructure Development.
Miss Stephanie Kehnasi is a final year student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering from the Fiji National University.
Stephanie started with SIRAP on 26 February 2024 and will gain valuable practical experience over the next six months to support her ongoing studies. Stephanie will work alongside experienced and specialised international and national PST members and engage in hands-on activities that will not only enhance her skills but also contribute meaningfully to the Project’s objectives. Under the guidance of the PST members, Stephanie will gain valuable insights into the many varied tasks of the PST, namely in project management, financial management, procurement, and environmental and social safeguards.
“We are thrilled to welcome Stephanie to our team”, said Richard Farrell, the International Project Manager of SIRAP. “The time within the PST will give Stephanie a chance to get an insight into the critical role that the PST has as the government’s representative to successfully implement the many activities within SIRAP and the Second Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP2)”, he further stated.
